2012 Annual Conference

Registration for the Annual Conference has closed. Click here for an on site registration form, complete it and bring it with you to the conference. If you have any questions, please call the ISACS office at 312-255-1244.

If you are attending the Annual Conference, here is some /useful information for your arrival at the conference. You should have received a final confirmation email on 11/1 with useful information for the conference as well as a list of the sessions you preregistered for. Please bring a copy of that final confirmation with you to the conference so you can refer to your pre-selected sessions.

ISACS Registration Check-in/Conference Folders
Conference packets with details of session locations, maps, exhibitor information and general conference information will be available starting at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9 at the ISACS registration area, which will be located in on the 2nd floor of the Louisville Marriott Downtown. Look for registration signage.

We anticipate more than 1200 people over the course of the two days. Please allow ample time to arrive, park, receive your name badge/folder and get to your first session. Sessions begin daily at 9:00 am.

This year, many presenters have opted to post handouts on the ISACS website after the conference. If you would like to take notes, we recommend that you bring your own pen/paper/notepad.

Conference Location
On Thursday, all sessions will take place at the Louisville Marriott Downtown.

On Friday, sessions will take place at the Louisville Marriott Downtown and the Kentucky International Convention Center.

Conference Registration/check in is located in the Louisville Marriott Downtown on Thursday and Friday.

As a courtesy to ISACS members and to encourage sharing among members, we have compiled the following list of Louisville area schools interested in hosting schools traveling to Louisville for the ISACS Annual Conference. Click here and contact the school below to schedule your site visit!

Exhibitor and Sponsorship Opportunities
Exhibitors at the conference will have access to educators from more than 230 schools in our 13 state region. ISACS expects more than 1,200 faculty, administrators and trustees to pass through the exhibit area. The exhibitor area will be open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Thursday, November 8th and 8:30 am to 3:00 pm on Friday, November 9th (with appropriate lunch breaks).

Note: Our exhibitor area has reached capacity.  If you are interested in exhibiting and wish to be put on a waitlist, please call the ISACS office.

ISACS also provides annual conference sponsorship opportunities. If your company plans to exhibit at the 2011 Annual Conference, the Association Sponsorship Program offers your company the most economical package, with year-long exposure to ISACS member schools. As an Association Sponsor (at a cost of $500/year), your company receives 50% off the 2012 exhibitor registration fee.

ISACS has secured a block of rooms at  the Hyatt Regency Louisville ( which is connected to the Marriott) for the nights of Wednesday, November 7, Thursday, November 8 and Friday, November 9 at a rate of $135/per night plus tax (single/double occupancy).. Self- parking is $13 overnight and valet parking is $20 overnight.

Walking directions from the Hyatt to the Marriot

To walk outside from the Hyatt to the Marriott the directions are as follows:  exit the Hyatt hotel to the motor lobby, take a left toward Jefferson Street, take a right onto Jefferson Street, and cross over 3rd Street and the Marriott will be on your right. If you want to take the Louisville Link (Skyway) system (click here for a map), follow the signs from the Hyatt to the Marriott or check out this video prepared by Hyatt staff. Following the skyway system will lead you directly to the Marriott’s 2nd floor where ISACS registration will be located.

Air Transportation
Air Travel to Louisville can be accessed via Louisville International Airport.  In addition to other carriers, Southwest Airlines services Louisville.

Ground Transportation
Taxis are readily available at the front of the Marriott and the Convention Center.  A taxi to/from the airport to the hotel is approximately $18 one way and takes about 15 minutes.

Parking Information
The daily self-parking rate at the hotel is $21 for 6-24 hours; daily valet parking is $16 for less than 4 hours and $25 for 4 hours or more.  Overnight self-parking at the hotel is $21 and overnight valet parking is $25.

There are surface lots with daily parking within a few blocks of the Marriott.  The closet lot is $5/day and is across the street from the hotel on Liberty Street.

Registration Information
Registration will be open in mid/late August.  Registration fees are as follows:
  • $130 per person (ISACS member) for 1-day registration
  • $200 per person (ISACS member) for 2-day registration
  • $160 per person (non-member) for 1-day registration
  • $250 per person (non-member) for 2-day registration
Registration includes daily continental breakfast and a banquet lunch. Register online and select sessions and lunches. You must register before Friday, October 19, 2012. There is no on-site registration.
Printed brochures with detailed program content will be sent to the ISACS Teacher Representative at your school in August.
Hard Copy Forms
Please note that changes to the schedule-at-a-glance and the conference brochure have been made since this printing. Sudhir Venkatesh will be the Thursday keynote presenter and will also be presenting the T-29 session at 1:30 pm. Sheena Iyengar will not be presenting at the conference. Detailed information about Dr. Venkatesh's presentations can be found in the View Session Schedule and will be available onsite in your conference folder.

Cancellation Policy
ISACS cannot offer refunds for the annual conference after Friday, October 19.  Cancellations must be received in writing by Friday, October 19 to receive a 50% refund.  Registration may be transferred to another member from the same school until October 19.  To contact ISACS, please email or call (312) 255-1244.
