Marketing in a Nanosecond Culture
Richard P. Honack

Friday, September 28, 2012
10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Kellogg School of Management - Conference Center
Chicago, IL

Registration is now open for this workshop.

After a well-received presentation at the ISACS heads conference in January 2011 and an oversubscribed workshop the following September, many heads asked us if Richard Honack could again be made available for  their marketing staff, especially in admissions and development.  ISACS is pleased to announce that he will join us once again for a one-day workshop in Chicago on the downtown Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University) campus on Friday, September 28, 2012

Honack is adept at explaining the changing nature of marketing, particularly the way different generations communicate using technology.  As the speed of communication accelerates, messages to the community must be adapted to the target audiences' values and preferences.  Honack guides his audience through this complex process with remarkable clarity, using research at Kellogg to support his ideas.  This year he will be spending time discussing Generation "Z" (age 0=14) and how they are different from their predecessors, Generation "Y."  He has new insights on the splitting of Generation "Y" into two groups; the impact of iPad, E-readers and Smartphones and we can expect in education in the next two to three years.  He also will discuss the continuing growth of social media.

New content for the 2012 workshop will also include: new data on internet and social media usage, new tablets to compete with the iPad (which are coming out in the fall 2012) and new trends by Gen "Z" and Gen "Y."

We recommend schools consider sending a team to attend this workshop. Several heads have indicated they will come back to hear Honack again and bring one or more top administrators.

Space is limited. This workshop will reach capacity. Register today!

Richard P. Honack is an award winning professor, international speaker and consultant on the topics of cultural trends and realities, marketing, strategic leadership and services marketing and management.  His speeches and lectures emphasize the need to understand the changing values, technologies and dynamics of the six-generations that makeup today’s global ‘nanosecond culture’—Great Generation, Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Gen “X”, Gen “Y” and now Generation “Z”. He discusses the impact that these generational differences, combined with ever changing technologies, make in the marketing of services and products. He also discusses the importance that the different generational expectations have on management within an organization. Honack is Lecturer for Executive Education at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and he is a member of the Kellogg Center for Nonprofit Management where he is a faculty member for several programs focused on Strategic Leadership for Nonprofits and on Fundraising and Marketing for nonprofit organizations.  He is a faculty member for  the Center’s Custom Executive Education programs consulting organizations that include Ronald McDonald House Charities, the United States Olympic Committee, USA Swimming, Seabury Western Seminary, Cristo Rey Network and the Harris Bank’s nonprofit leadership program, to name a few.
