Internationally acclaimed camp expert and best-selling author Michael Brandwein leads this skill-packed, “use-it-immediately” session for independent school camps.

During this one day workshop, learn practical methods to:

This workshop is for any camp directors or camp staff.

Michael Brandwein is an education and camp expert and has made presentations in all fifty US states and on six of the seven continents. Michael is the number one best-selling author in the camp field, with five consecutive bestsellers on training and leading staff who work with young people, including Training Terrific Staff Volumes 1 & 2 and his latest, Skill of the Day: What Great Youth Leaders Do & Say. He wrote and presented three Emmy award-winning television programs on communicating with children. He has served on the national board of directors of the American Camp Association and has received two national honors from ACA for his training of directors and staff throughout the world. In 2014 Michael also received the prestigious Peter Kern Award for the Advancement of Professional Development in Camp. He is a frequent staff development keynoter for teachers at both private and public schools and national and regional education conferences. The workshop will take place at the new ISACS office conference room at 55 West Wacker Drive, Suite 702, Chicago, IL. 

The location is located in the heart of Chicago, with easy access to public transportation.

Parking is available at several area garages and you can use to find discounted parking in the area prior to your arrival in downtown Chicago. If possible, we suggest you take public transportation.

Hotel Accommodations
ISACS has secured hotel accommodations at Club Quarters at Wacker and Michigan with a rate of $174 a night. In order to take advantage of the rate, you must book by September 23, 2014. Below is information on Club Quarters and how to make a reservation.

  • $240 non-member fee 
  • First registrant pays full fee, each additional registrant receives a $20 discount

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received in writing to ISACS by emailing 10 business days prior to the event to receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received within 10 days of the event will not receive a refund. Registration may be transferred to another member from the same school. ISACS reserves the right to cancel the workshop for insufficient enrollment. In this case, participants will be notified and given a full refund.
