Conducting & Analyzing the ISACS School Community Survey
Chris Everett & Bob Dicus

Tuesday, March 10, 2020
9:30 am - 2:30 pm

ISACS Classroom
Chicago, IL

The workshop will focus on the survey measurement model and how to address your school’s unique needs when administering the survey. This will include how and when to conduct the survey along with the design of custom questions (including custom question examples). These discussions will allow you to learn how to optimize the survey so that it is relevant and specific to your school.

Once the surveys are completed, you will need to know how to analyze and use the results. This will include a review of how the similar school benchmark is created and can be used to enhance your focus. In addition, learn how your previous survey results can play an important role in moving your school forward. This second portion of the workshop will involve case studies and examples to illustrate how best to utilize your survey results.

This workshop will benefit schools that are entering the self-study, are involved in the accreditation process, will initiate the survey next fall, have just received the survey results, are using the survey on an annual basis as an administrative tool and/or have a desire to become the school of choice in their community. In addition, you will learn how to interpret and integrate constituent perceptions into the administrative process; make school administration more effective; enhance parent support and loyalty; and increase alumni engagement and support.

Chris Everett, president of The Kensington Group, provides marketing and marketing research consulting for independent schools. He designed the ISACS School Community Survey in 1994 (with Pat Bassett, then head of ISACS) and has managed the program and assisted schools with the use and interpretation of the survey results since the initial use of the survey.

Bob Dicus, president of Marketing Research Technologies, provides the technical support for the ISACS School Community Survey. Dicus has been involved with survey research for 30+ years and was integral to design, set-up, and processing of the initial survey.
